1. Yes I do believe that QR Codes are very effective in marketing because when a person walks by a QR code they are intrigued. At a first glance a QR code looks like all of the others, so the viewer wants to look into it. For this reason they do a great job of getting the message out.
2. A hashtag is a way of summarizing what your message is about. They are used on twitter to narrow posts down to what you're searching. For example, if you put #football in your tweet then anyone who searches football will find your tweet. If you put a hashtag that's commonly searched with a link to your blog then your blog can be directed toward millions of twitter users.
3. A blog is the online equivalent to a newspaper article. Every week a writer in he newspaper makes an entry for people to read. But in today's society less people are always online. So people make blogs as their own article that anyone can view at the click of a button. People are also allowed to follow a blog, so when the blog is updated they are informed.
4. A person is allowed up to 140 characters per tweet. I think this is sufficient enough to get your point across while keeping the message concise. It also eliminates the chance of rambling so every word must have importance to it.
5. In 1997 one man took WEB and fused it with LOG to make BLOG.
6. One widley known url shortener is Bitly.com. Bitly can take any url, weither its 20 characters or 100+, and shorten it down to about 10 characters. This is a huge advantage for everyday users who can copy down 10 character as to a paragraph of nonsense. Also on a site like twitter that limits posts to 140 characters Bitly makes it possible to address a site without taking a big chunk out of the limit.
7. Blogs are made up of posts.
8. The Q stands for Quick and R is for Response.
9. A blog roll list is used to show other interests of the author, or other blogs that share characteristics of the author's blog. By using a blog roll list the author is expanding the benefits of their blog to the public, so the viewers can go to one blog and then have a quick link to another for more information.
10. By following someone on twitter you can see all of their tweets on your own newsfeed instead of needing to look them up every time. Also when you follow someone there is the chance of them following you back.
